The all-hazards mission of the department is the safeguarding of life and property of the citizens and visitors of Stafford County through proactive application of community risk reduction services; responsive fire, rescue, and emergency medical services; and the operational support of the fire and rescue system and emergency preparedness plans of the county, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and those of the United States of America.
