Responsibilities
The Environmental Division of the Stafford County Department of Public Works is the lead local agency responsible for the protection of surface water quality in Stafford County. The Division is staffed by a team of technical professionals that provide services to the citizens of Stafford County in the following areas:
Erosion and Sediment Control
Stormwater Management/Drainage
Stormwater/NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) Permitting
Landscaping Inspections
Chesapeake Bay Act Implementation and Enforcement
