R-Board

The Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board (R-Board) is a joint venture of the governments of Stafford and Fredericksburg. The R-Board operates and maintains the regional landfill and recycling drop-off facilities for the use and benefit of the citizens of Stafford and Fredericksburg.

This cooperative effort has proven to be the most efficient, cost-effective, environmentally sound operation because the more recyclable volume that the landfill takes in, the more diverse markets are attracted to do business with it. Revenue produced by the landfill goes directly back into its operating fund.

The R-Board meets bi-monthly at the Stafford Administration Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. Its members are: Peter Fields, Paul V. Milde III, Stafford Board of Supervisors; Steve Crosby, Stafford County Administrator; Matthew J. Kelly, Marvin J. Dixon , Fredericksburg City Council; and Phillip Rodenberg, Fredericksburg City Manager.

For more information about the R-Board, contact Pat Rowe at (540) 658-4590.
